Abbreviation of the Day: COD
Recently, many stories have been in the news about home delivery services.
We have all learned, if we had not already known, that delivery workers are very busy.
Sometimes, their job is made even more complicated by COD orders.
COD is an abbreviation for Cash On Delivery.
Sometimes, when people order something to be delivered, they pay the delivery person when the item arrives at their door.
A typical example would be pizza.
When we order a pizza, we pay the delivery driver when they deliver it.
A lot of the pizza delivery business is COD.
I have pizza on my mind today because tonight will be PIZZA NIGHT!
I never order pizza because I have a personal in-house chef: ME!
I make a pizza for dinner from scratch every Tuesday night.
