Phrase: Get it out of your system

Have you ever heard someone say, “I just need to get it out of my system?”

This phrase is often used when someone feels a strong urge to do something that might not be the best decision.

Maybe they want to eat an entire pizza by themselves or step out on their significant other even though they may have second thoughts.

Whatever the situation, sometimes we must get it out of our system.

To get it out of your system means to do something that you feel a strong urge to do, even if it might not be the best decision.

By doing it, you can release the pent-up energy or emotion driving you to act in a certain way.

Once you’ve gotten it out of your system, you can move on with your life and make better decisions in the future.

For example, let’s say you’re on a diet, but you’ve been craving a big slice of chocolate cake for days.

You know it’s not good for your waistline, and the phrase a moment on the lips forever on the hips keeps running through your mind, but the craving is so intense that you can’t focus on anything else.

In this case, eat the dam* cake and get it out of your system.

By indulging the craving, you can satisfy it and move on with your diet without feeling constantly tempted by the cake.

I will not judge you for your moment of weakness as long as you don’t judge me for mine.
