English Idiom: Get to the bottom of (something)
Business today is all about big data. Yes, that’s right, if you want to get to the bottom of something, big data has the answers you desire.
To get to the bottom of something means to discover the hidden explanations for why something happens or doesn’t happen.
If Amazon, Google, Facebook, Toyota or General Motors want to know who their customers are or what people think about their products, they can get to the bottom of the matter with big data.
Big data: collect it, analyze it, graph it, and you can get to the bottom of any problem or question you can think of.
In other words, big data allows companies to discover the hidden explanations for why something happens or doesn’t happen.
