English Expression: Glad to see the back of someone/something

We have all met people that we didn’t like.
Perhaps you were delighted when that person left, and you didn’t have to deal with them again.
If you were happy to see them go, then you can say you were glad to see the back of them.
You may be a waitress serving a demanding customer who constantly complains about the food.
You may not be able to say it aloud, but you can think, “I’ll be glad to see the back of him.”
So, if you are ever dealing with someone you don’t like, you may be unhappy at the time, but you will be glad to see the back of them.
