English Idiom: Measure twice, cut once
I have some advice for you today that I think is good to follow.
Measure twice, cut once means that before you do something, ensure you have carefully prepared so you will not make a mistake and need to correct it.
Of course, we all make mistakes, and there is no shame in making mistakes.
Measure twice, cut once helps us remember that we should try to avoid mistakes to reduce our workload.
After working hard to do something, nobody wants to go back and fix errors even though it happens to all of us – some more than others.
