Proverb: Necessity is the Mother of Invention
Necessity is the mother of invention is a neat little proverb, which means when people need something, they find a way of getting it or making it.
Imagine that you are going to wash your clothes.
Before you do, you check the pockets and find your new key fob.
Lucky!
You didn’t wash it by accident.
However, you put it on top of the washer, and by accident, it fell behind the washer.
Oh, no!
Now, how do you get it?
Your arms are not long enough to reach it, and you are not strong enough to move the washer yourself.
You need something long enough to reach down behind the washer and get your key fob.
You get a wire coat hanger and use that to extend your reach and get your new key fob.
Necessity is the mother of invention, and you found a way to get your key fob from down behind the washing machine!
