English Idiom: On it
On it is another way to say, “I’ll do that right away.”
Or to be doing something now.
Whenever someone gives you a new task to accomplish, you can reply by using today’s little idiom.
It means you are either doing it now or will do it shortly.
If your boss asks you to proofread some documents for tomorrow’s presentation, you can say, ‘I’ll do that now,’ or you can say, ‘I’m on it.’
It’s always a great idea to do things right away, anyway.
We live such busy lives that it’s easy to become sidetracked or forget things.
My motto is there’s no time like the present, and it works like a charm for me.
