Word of the Day: Pickpocket
A pickpocket can pick your pocket before you can say a pickpocket picked my pocket.
A pickpocket will try to steal things out of your pocket.
When you’re a tourist in a big city, you stand out from the crowd even though you don’t think so.
It’s easy to see that you are a tourist, and, unfortunately, that puts a target on your back.
What I mean is that some people will try to steal your wallet or anything else that they can access.
I speak from experience.
No, I was never a pickpocket, if that is what you are thinking.
I have had more than my fair share of jobs, such as a chocolate salesman or coconut collector.
I almost had my pocket picked one time in Sydney, Australia.
Luckily, I realized what had happened before the thief could get my wallet.
That’s what pickpockets do; they pick things out of your pocket.
Buses, restaurants, and escalators are places where you will likely find pickpockets or anywhere else where large groups of people move slowly or just stand around.
