Word of the Day: Bar (verb)
Most of us like to go to a bar for a drink or a couple of drinks.
However, the word bar can also be used as a verb, meaning to prevent someone from doing something.
For example, if an athlete uses drugs, they will not be allowed to compete in the Olympics.
In other words, they will be barred from the competition.
Similarly, if a soccer fan starts a fight in a stadium, they will not be allowed to enter the stadium again.
They will be barred from the stadium.
So that’s all for now.
Remember to be good boys and girls because we don’t want to see you barred from anywhere.
