Seedling

A seedling is the ‘baby’ plant before it grows big and starts to produce. At times it's more economical to buy seedlings than seeds.

Word of the Day: Seedling

I enjoy gardening and growing many different plants.

Usually, I start them off as seeds, but sometimes, I buy the seedlings and start from there.

For economic reasons, I usually buy cucumber and basil seedlings because they are cheaper than purchasing a package of seeds.
