Word of the Day: Tidbit
The word tidbit can have two possible meanings.
Firstly, as in the picture, it can refer to small amounts of food or enough for just one bite.
On the plate above, we have little single-serving pieces of pizza-looking things.
People often eat them with their fingers, so they can also be called finger food.
Secondly, the word tidbit can refer to a small piece of information.

OK, so now you know that a tidbit of information could refer to a fascinating little secret or gossip that people are very keen to know.
Of course, it doesn’t always have to be gossip, but it quite often is.
