Word of the Day: Venue

A venue is a place where people gather, such as a hotel conference room or a sports stadium.

If you are organizing a company Christmas party, it is crucial to reserve a site that is big enough to accommodate all the people.

Standing room only may be OK for the British Parliament, but it’s unacceptable for a Christmas party.

In my opinion, one of the best baseball venues in Japan is Zoom-Zoom Stadium in Hiroshima.

The atmosphere is fantastic with knowledgeable fans, and it is a modern stadium with all the amenities that the fans need.

Yes, I know that Koshien is a historic venue that holds a place in the hearts of most Japanese baseball fans, but I have my heart set on going back to Hiroshima to watch a game at Zoom-Zoom Stadium.

It is a fantastic place to watch baseball.
