You’ve probably heard about the cryptocurrency Bitcoin. You’ve probably also heard about the trouble cryptocurrency exchanges in Japan have experienced over the past few years. Most recently, $32,000,000,000 worth of digital currencies were stolen from the Bitpoint exchange. Now, you’ve heard of the Facebook Social Networking Site. Indeed, you’ve also heard about all of their privacy breaches over the past two years or so. I have a question for you. What do you get when you cross Facebook with cryptocurrency? You get Libra! Facebook has plans to create a cryptocurrency that people all over the world can use, like cash. This either sounds like a recipe for disaster or a new world revolution. Feel free to form some opinions before you read the articles, but remember to maintain an open mind until you’ve learned as much as you can.
