When you think of California, what comes to mind? Sun? Sand? Surf? Hollywood? Wine, perhaps? I’m sure you associate California with America and the American dream, whatever you think. As a whole, Californians tend to feel somewhat different than the rest of the Union—so differently that some believe California should secede from the United States and become an independent country. It has the resources and the population to be independent. However, can it happen?
