Lesson: Enhanced Games
The Enhanced Games are a go. If you don’t know what the Enhanced Games are, I don’t blame you. Well, the Olympics are very strict about testing athletes for using illegal substances. In the Enhanced Games, doping will not only be allowed but encouraged. They say it will be strictly monitored with an emphasis on safety, but still, athletes will be encouraged to use medical substances to improve athletic performance. Would it just be older athletes trying to make some money after aging out of the regular athletics circuit, or is this a sign of the times, an if-you-can’t-beat-them-join-them competition; a last kick at the can for large amounts of prize money? Let’s discuss it in class.
