Lesson: Future Humans
Have you ever wondered if humans are still evolving? We often consider ourselves fully evolved, but what if we are not? What will humans be like in a million years, for example? Evolution promises to shape humanity in ways we can only begin to imagine. Over the next million years, environmental changes, technological advancements, and societal shifts will likely influence our biological and cultural development. Climate change, urbanization, and global interconnectedness may create new selective pressures, potentially leading to adaptations in our physical characteristics and even behaviour. Furthermore, advancements in genetic engineering could allow us to actively steer our evolutionary path, raising ethical questions about the nature of humanity itself. As we explore these possibilities, it’s essential to consider how our choices today will impact the future of our species and the planet we inhabit.
