There’s a high possibility that you have been prescribed medication before. On the slim chance that you have never taken prescription drugs, you probably will as you get older. Whether you have a pay-as-you-go healthcare system as in the States or government-funded national healthcare as in Canada, you know medication is expensive, and the cost is increasing. As a way to reduce costs, most systems are turning to generics. There are, however, some concerns. Are generic drugs bioequivalent to brand-name medication, or is there some cause for concern?
