You may want to blame inflation as the main reason for rising prices, but you would be amiss. The prevalence of premiumization has been increasing for quite some time now. Everything has a basic, middle-of-the-road and premium version. From automobile makers to convenience stores, premiumization is a company’s way of convincing customers to fork over more money willingly. Like it or loath it, premiumization may be here to stay.
