Lesson: Space Debris

Space debris is quickly becoming a problem. Every time we send something into space, human or otherwise, we leave some junk behind, eventually becoming space debris.  It’s dangerous to satellites and vessels in low earth orbit and humans back on Earth if it doesn’t burn up in the atmosphere upon re-entry. It may seem a far-off problem until your GPS doesn’t work because a piece of space debris has collided with a satellite, or a part of the space station comes crashing through your roof.
