However, this time, humans play a crucial role not just as witnesses but, alarmingly, as a primary cause of the ongoing extinction. Human activities, including habitat destruction, climate change, pollution, and the overexploitation of resources, are accelerating the decline of numerous species. As we grapple with the implications of our impact on the planet, the question arises: which animals will survive and adapt to the changing environment during this tumultuous period? The resilience of certain species may depend on their ability to adapt to rapidly changing habitats, find suitable refuges, or exploit new resources. Understanding these dynamics is vital for conservation efforts aimed at mitigating the worst effects of this mass extinction.
