Lesson: The Perception of Time

Time is one of those things of which we can never have enough. From the moment we are born, our internal clock starts ticking, and it will tick until the moment of our death. This time we’ll discuss how we perceive time. For example, how long is the current moment? Where is the past? Or how does our body know when to wake up? These may seem like simple questions. However, like every topic we discuss, there is always a more complicated answer than we initially imagined. In this conversation, we’ll discuss our perceptions of time. If you are brave enough to read all the articles (the last two may seem quite long), we may even discuss how to correct our broken perceptions of time.

Each conversation topic is based on a theme. In order to help students acquire a basic understanding of that topic, four media articles are provided for them to read. I will never test you on the articles, but I strongly suggest you book lessons far enough in advance to give yourself enough time to properly prepare. The better prepared you are, the more benefit you will receive from our conversations.

Below is an example article for this conversation topic.
