Lesson: Urban Wildlife

As more people move into cities and become urbanites, animals are forced to adapt and become urban wildlife. This urbanization affects various animals in different ways. Spiders are larger in the city than they are in rural areas, for example.  Some birds thrive in human-created environments while others suffer. Then there are the countless raccoons (called trash pandas in Canadian cities), coyotes and possums who have learned to adapt and are mostly unseen while sharing space with humans.
