Lesson: Would you like to become a Morlock?

In the H.G. Wells novel Time Machine, half of the future population of humans lived above ground – the Eli, and the other half lived below ground – the Morlocks. Although the vast majority of contemporary humans live above ground, it appears that may not be true in the future. Some countries are running out of space, and most cities are running out of room too. We have already gone vertical in our towns; therefore, perhaps it’s time to dig deeper. Many cities worldwide already have vast underground structures where people can live, work, and play without going to the surface. The question is, would you like to live underground?
