Lesson: Extreme Tourism

News of the catastrophic failure of the Titan submersible while on its way down to the Titanic wreckage has put extreme tourism on the map. It’s well-established that millennials and Gen Z are less interested in accumulating stuff than Boomers and Gen X. The younger generations collect experiences. Who would have thought that the wealthy and Uber-rich would have something in common with millennials and Gen Z? While millennials live the #Vanlife, and the rich spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on extreme tourism, both of them are collecting memories. When #Vanlife goes wrong, you lose a solar panel in a windstorm. When extreme tourism goes wrong, people have a near-death experience or never live to tell the tale.
